Buildings For Sale
Buildings for sale in bad parts of town
can either make or ruin an investor ...
I have been an investor for a long time and, although I have
not started with that much capital, in the course of my
business I have managed to make quite a pretty penny. At first,
I invested in a company my brother in law was starting. They
made prefabricated steel buildings for sale. These premade
buildings were basically kits for all types of permanent and
semi-permanent structures, from sheds to barns to houses. There
were, of course, more attractive buildings for sale, but for
the money, there was nothing more reasonable than buying one of
his steel structures, and they would all last a remarkably long
time. Soon what he was doing caught on, and the buildings for
sale made both of us a fair amount of dough.
Of course, one investment does not a career make, and once I
had made a little bit of capital doing that, I started looking
other places. I would buy abandoned buildings for sale, fix
them up, and then either rent them or sell them off. This can
actually be a rather risky proposition. Many of the abandoned
buildings for sale are in parts of the country that are not
doing all that well – hence, the abandonment. Perhaps people
are moving out in droves and not moving in, or perhaps the
economy is shrinking and the cities are plagued by drugs and
other crime. Either way, buildings for sale in bad parts of
town can either make or ruin an investor.
Fortunately, the city had invested heavily in what was
called an urban redevelopment plan to get more money to flow
into the city in the hopes of building it back up again.
Developers who would agree to buy and fix up buildings for sale
would be guaranteed heavy subsidies and tax breaks from the
city, which was an offer too good to pass up. Although some of
the buildings for sale bombed, in general I did very well and
was able to move into other areas of real estate. I now can nab
up almost anything – office buildings for sale, homes on the
market, you name it – and I have become famous for my ability
to turn a consistent profit. Maybe some people do not believe
in the American dream, but I am living proof that it works, at
least in many cases. You just need good luck and government
subsidies.
